Janice specialises in strong northern women roles, especially if they are comedic. She trained at ICAT Manchester in her fifties.
She originated the role of Carol Atkins in the off-West End musical, The Jury, in Feb 2020 and has appeared in many Fringe productions in the North-West of England.
A vocal specialist, Janice has provided recorded and live narration for dance theatre and acted in audio plays. Short films include as ‘Remotely Close’ for a film festival in Toronto, and Size Zero in a fundraiser to save The Globe Theatre. She has appeared in four TVCs, including the lead & VO artiste in two.
She wrote and starred in her own radio sitcom, Florrie & Dotty, and contributes to Made in Manchester’s Distinct Nostalgia channel.
Janice keeps fit by lifting weights, circuit training, walking and can still turn a cartwheel. A singer & voice coach, she reads music, plays recorders and basic keyboards.
Born and raised in Yorkshire, she lives in Chester, has car, driving licence, passport and is doubled jabbed against covid.
