Jennifer Banks is an actor and writer who has written and performed in award-winning and award nominated productions.
She wrote and starred in two-woman comedy show Strife In A Northern Town, which was shortlisted for the national Funny Women Best Show Award. She has also written and performed stand-up, sketch and character comedy in London and the North – and was a Channel 4 So You Think You’re Funny semi-finalist.
Jennifer has appeared on TV in Coronation Street, and her acting credits include a role in feature film Mrs Lowry & Son starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave. On stage, she was nominated for Best Actor at the Greater Manchester (GM) Fringe for her role in White Is The New Black.
And after her appearance in Trollope at the GM Fringe, the play went on to win the Best Comedy Play at Greater Manchester Fringe Awards, as well as Best Fringe Production at the Northern Soul awards.
She is currently developing a dark comedy web series and her short film, Takeaway, in which she’ll take the leading role, is in pre-production with Three Chimneys Entertainment.
