A York man born and bred, with a natural soft Yorkshire accent, Richard has performed in multiple productions with the following companies; York Theatre Royal, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse, Tonguetied/State of Play Theatre and North Country Theatre. Much of his theatre work has focused on family entertainment and he also works as resident writer and director for York Maze as well as Associate Director for Badapple Theatre Company.
In television Richard has appeared in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks and in the corporate field he has 15 years experience as a roleplayer/facilitator in training and recruitment. A keen singer, runner and partaker of pub quizzes and card tricks, Richard is never happier than when conducting his Male Voice Choir in an informal concert, compering at charity events and festivals or simply spending time with his two wonderful daughters.
