ESTHER IRVING

Esther is an actor and theatre-maker from Yorkshire with a passion for Shakespeare, new writing and accessible theatre. She trained at Northumbria University and has additional training in singing, meisner, devising, clowning and movement. Esther has worked as an actor on theatre productions across the UK as well as a creative collaborator on many R&D's and rehearsed readings of new work. Some of her recent work includes: an R&D of 'Sense Memory', an R&D of 'In An Alternative Stratosphere' for Hull Truck and Graeae Beyond, a tour of Heavenly Realms for The LAMPS Collective, and a role in a feature film. 

 

Esther is neurodivergent and visually-impaired and is very passionate making the arts more accessible. She is an Audio Description Consultant working with companies including Leeds Playhouse, fish in a dress, and Mikron Theatre to make their shows accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences. She is also an experienced workshop facilitator (Enhanced DBS), writer, director and corporate/medical roleplayer.
